Copper Mountain is within shuttle range of Denver International Airport (75 miles) and a lot of skiers/riders like to fly in early so they can get on the slopes by noon. There are 22 lifts serving 2,433 acres of playland, with 125 trails slightly weighted to more advanced skiers. The trail systems are separated by ability levels so beginners don't cross in front of experts. Copper's re-developed village is now among the best and most convenient of the Colorado destination resorts, with plenty to keep you occupied off-slope.
Lodging located just steps away from the mountain. Over 850 lodging units ranging from hotel rooms to 5-bedroom home and premium condominiums.
Copper's Central Reservations offers one-stop vacation shopping with discounts on a variety of things offered if booked as part of a lodging package. Ski and snowboard lessons and rentals. Restaurants, child care including Kids' Night Out and in-room.
Mountain biking, horseback riding, whitewater rafting, bungee jumping, fly fishing, chairlift rides at 11,000 feet, golf at 10,000 feet, and a climbing wall. A racquet/athletic club is available with eight tennis courts (2 indoor), wallyball, racquetball, indoor pool, sauna, steam rooms, massage services, and a weight room.
A boarder's playground. Copper offers the Kidz Terrain Park for young'uns and newbies, complete with mini rails, boxes, jumps, and a mini-pipe to play in. Then there's Night Rider, at the base of the American Eagle lift, which is, of course, open nights. Eagle Jib Park sits atop American Eagle. Parks are groomed every night and the pipes are cut every other. Rentals available.
