Caption: Hittin' the Houston Jib Park--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Soooooo Wednesday's shot is from the Houston jib park (that’s the DC Houston jib park if in case you missed the sponsor’s logo). Being that I'm closer to forty years than thirty years of age these days, I can't tell if this dude's jibbin' or bonkin'. Either way, he made popping a little air and landing on this box look effortless. There's a part of me that still wants to master box and rail slides. I guess I have enough pairs of old skis whose edges I could sacrifice to cause. I'm just not sure I have enough body parts to sacrifice to what would almost inevitably be the number of messed up landings it would take before I caught on. Maybe if I wore all my hockey gear, the landings wouldn't hurt . . . as much. If you see someone in breezers and a Koho helmet out there, you’ll know I got off the bench and went after it. Looks like we have low clouds over the Crested Butte end of the valley again this morning. The snow report's showing one inch of new snow over night and the top of Gold Link tracking the temperature at 22 degrees with a five m.p.h. breeze out of the north. There's probably a half inch of snow on my deck here, in CB South. Snowmaking was working on the upper extents of Paradise Bowl and Upper Keystone yesterday afternoon when I headed back to the Paradse Warming House for a little phone work. Paradse Lift for this weekend? We shall see . . . Remember to take a break and get outside for some fresh air today . . . if you can get away from your desk for some exercise, you’ll feel like a million bucks. Think snow, boys and girls . . . think snow!
