Skiers find nearly perfect conditions for skiing in Saxony. Skiing, snowboarding and toboggan are possible. You can explore the beautiful and snowy landscape on one of the very well-prepared cross-country ski runs. Alpine skiers prefer the Fichtelberg with an altitude of 1214 m altitude and that ski area is also the most notable in Eastern Germany.
But the other ski areas in Saxony, like Altenberg for example, do as well have a lot to offer; a variety of slopes for all levels of difficulty and many well-groomed cross-country ski runs for example in the ski area Klingenthal.
