Five new models have Fischer's new Hybrid Technology, which "adjusts" the rocker by the flip of a switch. A mechanism in the core raises the contact point of the ski for a rockered profile and moves it closer to the snow for traditional camber. The Hybrid 7 has a 75 mm waist, a sandwich sidewall construction, wood core and a combination of carbon and titanium for a high strength-to-weight ratio. "It can change personalities from a solid, traditional frontside ski to a better performer in bumps and crud," said Maybon. "It might take a while to figure out, but the switch gives you options to play around with."
