Okay, it is true that the State of Idaho does no inspections. Sure, a third party does at Silver - their insurance company. Inspections are not their miain downfall, it's Silver's total lack of any preventive maintenance program. In short, they run their worn-out lifts until they break and they probably have more rope evacuations than any resort on the planet. Think of that when you consider a family getaway to Silver. This place reeks of DANGER,,, beware!!! Lift towers don't just fall over at other resorts... they do at Silver. See the picture in the previous post below. Bullwheels and main drive shafts don't fail elsewhere like they do at Silver. They put people at risk here and they don't care. A footnote: 20+ patrollers left this mountain last year largely because of how poorly managed Silver has been. BEWARE!!!
In the local Inlander poll (yearly "Best of" awards) SIlver has not placed in any category in the last 3 years. Locals know its a bad scene.
IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING A TRIP TO NORTH IDAHO/EASTERN WA., THERE ARE MUCH BETTER AND SAFER CHOICES.
