Silver Mountain sits on the Bitterroot Range in the heart of Idaho's mining country, in the panhandle of Northern Idaho. There are two separate mountains: Kellogg and Wardner Peaks. There is one of the longest eight-person gondolas in the world, churning up 2,200 vertical feet to the Mountain Haus.
Snowskate park featuring rails, fun boxes, and slides near the Mountain House. Mountaintop Ice Skating Center is a 155 foot by 70 foot open air natural skate rink. Skate rentals and lessons are available. Rental shop for the latest skis, snowboards, snowshoes, and retail accessories at the base area. There are four on-site restaurants, two lounges/bars, weekend barbeques on the patio deck; Minor's Camp Day Care for children ages 2 to 5; Silver Kid's Camp for ages 5 to 13; complimentary ski check and waxing at the resort. Ski instructions includes packages for, Guarantee Learn To Ski, advanced skiing clinic, telemark, and snowboarding.
