My family and I went to Paoli on December 26th we spent over $500 for the day. The website shown 3 slopes and 2 lifts open. We got there and only one slope was open and one small lift at the top of the hill and one at the bottom of the one slope. The amount of people on this one hill was horrendous. The line to get on the lift was even worse. Waited 30 minutes. The lift kept shutting down because of the amount of people on it. We were there for 7 hours and only able to go down the hill 8 times. After spending $500! Some people were still being charged full price when the respite closed at 8pm and they were getting there at 5 with them knowing how awful the lines were and only one lift being open. We have been to Paoli multiple times and over the last 2 years this place has gone down hill each time we got. We will not be back. The amount of people telling us about perfect north and how they will start going there we have decided that’s our new place. Same day they had 9 slopes open and 4 lifts. Groomed slopes for over 60 hours to prepare. Paoli was not prepared for the amount of people that day nor did they try to make it right for anyone there!

Good place for a beginner to figure out if skiing or snowboarding is right for them. Also a good place to get your legs back under you before you head out west. For a mid West/East coast hill, that's about all you can ask for. Equivalent to PNS or Sugar/Beech/Cataloochie.

Great for beginners. Intermediates through experts can enjoy the hill improving technical skills and getting ski legs before venturing to a major resort vacation.
Location, value
Another 9,000 feet of vertical would be nice.

I’ve ridden there for 26 years and this new management doesn’t know how to balances now making and grooming. I was there this weekend and the temps were perfect!! But everything was hard and crusty because they hadn’t groomed it at all. The new manager says it’s hard to groom when making so much snow. Oddly I worked there for over 10 years and we groomed daily, multiple times regardless of we had made or was making snow!! These current conditions are very dangerous to ride on!!

We had a great time at Paoli Peaks. It is conveniently located 3 hours from Nashville and 1 hour from Louisville. The slopes are wide and vary in difficulty for all ability levels. They also have an awesome tubing park and ample free parking. Also, the dining experience was outstanding! Without a reservation nor waiting we got a table by the fire place with a view to the slopes! So beautiful! I would highly recommend to go there with your family! PS: their home made pizza is a must try!
Variety of wide fun slopes! Great customer service! Outstanding food!

Let's face it: Paoli is not Vail, and we should adjust our skiing/snowboarding expectations accordingly. As a rather nervous snowboarder who dislikes both heights and speed, I'm perfectly fine with gentle hills around Paoli. I came to Paoli for my first outing of the season to sate my curiosity about the place, and to get my "ski legs" back after months away. It did that job just fine. Not all of the runs were open, but the ones that were posed very little degree of difficulty. Great for me! For your après-ski needs, there's a snack bar in the lodge, plus a bar that's a bit quieter and features few local beers on tap. Will I come back? 100% yes.
