Just went on Monday January 16, 2017 with my daughter and her friend and had a blast. Both are beginner skiers and enjoyed the easier trails and the ability to get right on the lift without a wait. Very well priced for rentals and what you get for skiing. Food was also very good.

Greenville is small town of 1,000 people in winter. Is situated on Moosehead Lake, the largest lake in Maine. Surrounded by forests and mountains....God's country. Ski area is opened on the bottom half of the mountain...intermediate skiing. There are no large well known hotels such as Marriott or Comfort Inn etc located here. Only several B&B operations, several small motels and Hotel Greenville, and maybe some cabin rentals. Only a couple of restaurants and bars are open in winter.
Good intermediate ski mountain
no large hotels as touted on this site.

Very much enjoyed Big Squaw last spring, end of March. Snow cover was good on all trails. No lift lines. I think there were no more than 10 of us skiing that day. The staff is very friendly. Lift and rental prices were very inexpensive. Trails are great for beginners and intermediate skiers. Resort is in it's 2nd year operating as a non-profit. Definitely will return for more skiing!! I hope they will be able to open the upper mountain in the next couple of years as the runs are more expert.
Inexpensive, good runs, no crowds
Limited runs

Very big bowls, at times hard to see what was a run and wasn't. Good variety of runs. Price was good due to hotels offereing cheap tickets.. They had a great apres ski party with a huge deck balcony and the sun was bright. Hot enough to wear T shirt only on deck Will be back.
Big endless bowls variety of terrain
There were rocks under snow to ruin skiis
