Snow Reporter Comments

4" of New Snow-Wicked Good Wednesday!

We picked up 4" of new snow overnight and with snow still falling this morning we could see an additional 1-2" before mid-day! It's looking like a Wicked Good Wednesday! For all you powder hounds out there we have an extra special treat for you, Upper Ptarmigan was left ungroomed last night and will serve up the fresh tracks first thing this morning.

We'll turn 6 lifts today from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. with the Flying Bear and Flying Yankee your best bet to turn fast laps throughout the day and the Summit Triple at Attitash getting you the full vertical!

We will start the day with 53 trails on 201 acres and 18 miles of open terrain across both peaks. The groomers smoothed out 47 trails early last night leaving behind smooth surfaces with fresh snow on top! I'd check out Illusion over at Bear this morning for a long run of powdery goodness.

Snowmaking is taking a break and as a result of their hard work this past weekend we plan to open new terrain later this week once the new man-made snow settles.

It's freshies for breakfast today, I'll see you out there! - Ian

ABENAKI PARKS

This Saturday is the Abenaki Parks annual Rail Jam. Come throw down your best tricks to compete for great prizes! Registration is $10 and check out our events page for more details.

Mythmaker has a whole new flow! The park crew set a total of 12 features before the triple jump line. You'll still find boxes and rails but also a cannonball, S-curve and more. The Kachina Park is open for the season with 8 features including jumps, rails boxes and more. To get you started, the beginner park at Bear Base is set up with intro features, rails, jibs and jumps.

RACING

Illusion will be closed for race training from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Plenty of snow but they need to crank out the groomers. Not every trails needs moguls. Lines were short tons of runs!!!!

Good for late season skiing. Cold temps kept it from slushing up a lot. Some powder on ice but plenty to keep an edge in most places. Some thin cover and exposed ice but generally quite good. Groomers have done a good job
