Located only about 50 miles, or an hour drive, from New York City, Mountain Creek, NJ is a close ski destination for skiers and riders in and around the New York/New Jersey Metro area. The ski area provides a variety of terrain suitable for almost all ability levels and interests across its four peaks, including long groomers, night skiing on the entire mountain and three dedicated terrain parks.

An extensive snow making system covers 100 percent of the ski resort's terrain with an impressive fleet of more than 1,000 snowmaking guns. Skiers and riders have access to 1,040 ft. of vertical via eight lifts and 46 trails on its 167 skiable acres. The mountain's base sits at 440 ft. and its summit at 1,480 ft.

The Koffman family is the sole owner of Mountain Creek, which was formerly called Great Gorge Resort. The ski area also offers up 30 full-sized snow tubing lanes serviced by two magic carpets and is well known for its Mountain Creek Resort Waterpark in the summer.
