Papa Charlie's, which, arguably, is the best nightclub scene north of the Twin Cities, will be party headquarters for New Year's Eve. Blump Blomberg, Barbara Jean and Eric Frost will be playing acoustic music 3:30-6:30 p.m. A torchlight parade takes place on the slopes at 8 p.m. followed by fireworks. The Buzz, Lutsen's favorite party band, takes the stage at 9:30 p.m. and rocks until 1 p.m. A cover charge of $10 applies.
Located along the north shore of Lake Superior, North America's fresh water sea, winter comes early and stays late this far north. You normally can count on good conditions at Lutsen Mountains.
