If you think traditional golfing is a challenge, don’t miss out on trying your hand at snow golfing. Alpine Meadows Ski Resort hosts their much-anticipated Annual Snow Golf Tournament on Saturday, April 21. This popular event is a exciting and unique way of joining the two sports, and is sure to be a fun day whether you've never golfed before or you're a seasoned pro.

Alpine has the only top-to-bottom snow golf course, which starts on the top of Summit Express chair. Players will make their way down to the last hole at the base lodge. Everyone is invited to come out to the event, and signing up for the event is free, but you have to have a lift ticket or season pass. Between 9 a.m and 1 p.m, you can register at the top of Summit Express, where you will get your scorecards, pencil, clubs and tennis balls. You can use your own clubs if you wish. All competitors must ski or snowboard between holes. They are allowed to remove one ski or foot to drive, chip or putt.

Awards are held at 3 p.m on the Sun Deck. Cards will be placed in a raffle and highest scores will walk away with prizes, such as gift certificates to Coyote Moon, Old Greenwood or Gray’s Crossing and Tahoe Donner Golf Course, ski and snowboard gear and more. The grand prize winner will be awarded with a two-night stay at Mission Hills Country Club in Palm Spring. It is good for two people and includes the stay at the Villas and two rounds of golf each day.

If you'd rather be a spectator, kick back and watch from the Sun Deck where there will be live music in the afternoon. Don’t miss out on this unique spring event.
