Lake Louise puts on a weekly après ski party that includes more than pounding down a beer or two. The Torchlight Dinner and Ski Parties combine skiing after the lifts close with dinner and dancing.

The event, which is offered every Friday night through April 2, starts at Whitehorn Lodge when the lifts close. The party winds into action with drinks, appetizers, and live music, followed by an escorted torchlight ski down a freshly-groomed slope to the base area.

The second half of the party takes place in the base area at the Sitzmark Lounge. The party cranks up with a buffet dinner, cash bar, and dancing to live music.

The après ski dinner party costs $49 CAD for adults and $28 CAD for children 12 years old or younger. Bus rides from the party to Lake Louise or Banff hotels can be added in to the package for $5-10 CAD to alleviate driving. Gratuities and GST are extra. Non-skier rates are also available, but only include the Sitzmark events.

Reservations are required for the parties. Spaces must be booked by 10 a.m. on the day of the party for those booking online. Same day reservations after 10 a.m. are only accepted by phone.
