OnTheSnow gets the inside track from Snow+Rock on next season's ski and snowboard gear - which items do they expect to fly off the shelves and what's their take on new design trends? But best of all, find out when you can get our hands on it.

OnTheSnow: Has your 2012/13 ski/snowboard gear hit the shelves yet?

Snow+Rock: We've had a few early deliveries on hardware items such as the Salomon and Atomic boots and skis. We have some K2 and Ride snowboard equipment hitting stores this week and we've also just received a shipment of Burton snowboards (available online from 15th). However the Snow+Rock stores at the Snow Centre Hemel Hempstead and Chill Factore Manchester already have some demo boards to try from Burton, K2 and Ride so people can test kit early. We’ll have some upcoming customer dates where they can come and test all the brands for free. The main bulk of our winter sports ranges will be in store and online at the beginning of October.

OnTheSnow: Do you notice any rising trends for ski/snowboard gear this year?

Snow+Rock: We've seen more mainline pieces featuring Gore-tex at affordable prices. We've also seen a growth in accessible backcountry gear - bindings, skis, clothing. Trends in snowboard gear include refinements in Rocker and Camber combinations. Hybrid Rocker will be the biggest selling category.

OnTheSnow: Which skis are you expecting to be the best sellers this year?

Snow+Rock: We've worked hard to select a top range of skis that will appeal to a wide variety of skiers. So it's difficult to select one best seller. Hot products are the following: Mens - K2 Bolt, Rossignol Pursuit 16, Volkl RTM 75, Salomon BBR 8.9, K2 Hardside, Scott Venture. Womens - Salomon Sunlite, Salomon Rockette 90, K2 Brightside, Fischer Koa 84, Rossignol Attraxion 1, 3 and 8.

OnTheSnow: Which snowboards are you expecting to be the best sellers this year?

Snow+Rock: Hot sellers are likely to be the Process Flying V, Custom Flying V, Gnu Carbon Credit, Lib Tech Attack Banana, K2 Slayblade, Capita DOA, K Lifelike, DC PBJ and DC PLY.

OnTheSnow: Which clothes/accessories are you expecting to be best sellers this year?
