Ober Gatlinburg Says December 1

But Tennessee's Gatlinburg has drawn a firm line in the snow and named Dec. 1 as the kickoff for their countdown to snowmaking and - hopefully - the start of their 2006/07 season. Mountain managers say they'll be watching the thermometers on that date in hope of firing up their snowmaking gear. We'll see.
