IfYouSki has reduced its prices for stays at the Hotel Samokov in Borovets, Bulgaria in January and February.

Departures Jan. 23 are reduced by £164 to £265; Jan. 30 by £69 to £360; and Feb. 6 by £105 to £380. Prices are per person based on two sharing a room and are subject to availability. Supplements may apply.

Hotel Samokov is centrally located and is particularly well-suited to younger people and groups. Situated opposite the main gondola, facilities include a winter wellness area with beauty and hairdressing salons, solarium, steam room, hydro-massage, and facials. There is a ten pin bowling alley, table tennis, billiards room and hair dressing salon. Guests have free access to the hotel swimming pool. Breakfast and dinner are buffet style with live entertainment during the evening meal.

Standard rooms have twin beds, telephones, radios, hairdryers, minibars, satellite TV (limited channels), and balconies with mountain views. All rooms can take a third bed (sofa bed). Rooms for sole occupancy are available at a supplement.

Borovets is Bulgaria is Eastern Europe's second biggest ski resort, with access to 58 kilometres of terrain, and appeals to budget-conscious skiers and beginners. Its ski school receives good reviews with highly qualified, fluent English-speaking staff and the resort is known for its cheap beer and sprits. Borotvets is a 90-minute transfer from Sofia.
