Alicia Keys is to perform in Ischgl's famous end-of-season concert at the resort's open-air mountain-top arena Saturday, May 1.
The U.S. star - whose album The Elements of Freedom is riding high in the UK charts - will perform at Idalp (2300 metres) on the penultimate day of Ischgl's long 2009-10 ski season.
The resort is offering special reduced packages available from the reservation team at the Paznaun-Ischgl Tourist Office with prices for seven nights' bed and breakfast accommodation and six-day VIP skipass from €397.50 per person, which entitles users to free entrance to the concert.
The lunchtime concert is expected to attract a crowd of 20,000 skiers and boarders and wrap up the resort's five-month-long season, which was launced at the end of November by fellow American Katy Perry. The concert stage is constructed in a natural bowl at the top of the Fimba and Silvretta gondola lifts with the panoramic backdrop of the Silvretta mountains.
Alicia and Katy join a glittering list of stars to have performed at Ischgl's Top of The Mountain concerts, which have launched and closed every winter since the 1994-95 season, with recent acts including Elton John, Kylie Minogue, Lionel Richie, Rihanna, Leona Lewis, Gabriella Cilmi, and The Pussycat Dolls.
