The Italian resort of Cervinia has installed a new chairlift, ‘Pancheron' at Cretaz, at the foot of Cervino.
This modern six-seater chairlift is complete with automatic clamp, protective shields, and a child safety system. It was built by the Cervino S.p.A company as part of its improvement process to Cervinia's ski area.
Another new addition to the resort is the ice karting track near the main entrance to Cervinia's town centre. The track is open everyday (evenings too). All those with valid lift passes for Saturday and Sunday will receive a special discount of 10 percent (between 4:30 p.m. and 10 p.m.) upon presentation at the kart circuit on the price of a single session (approximately 15 minutes) including kart hire and helmet. Booking is advisable (+39-338-9133630).
The Breuil-Cervinia Valtournenche Zermatt district is one of the largest in the Alps, with a varied skiable domaine, which stretches through three valleys in two countries, Italy, and Switzerland, from the 3883 metres of the Piccolo Cervino descending to the 1524 metres of Valtournenche. 350 kilometres of ski runs offer the chance to ski all day without ever repeating the same run twice, alternating easier runs with those of increasing difficulty.
Cervinia closes the season with its end-of-season party April 30 to May 2.
