Where . . . Kymppi Arena, Leppavirta, Finland

What . . . The Mile Arena indoor ski slope, set within the Kymppi Arena holiday complex, is open all year round. The slope stretches 100 metres in length and 40 metres wide and is packed with real snow maintained at a constant temperature of -5 degrees Celsius. Ski equipment is available to rent on site.

The ski slope is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. (Mon-Fri); 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. (Sat and Sun) in winter; 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. (Mon-Fri) and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in summer.

Non-skiing Activities . . . Sledging, snowmobiling, ice skating, ice hockey, snow games, tennis, fishing, football, soccer, and riding. There's also a spa complex with pool, hot tub, and massage for ultimate relaxation.

Food/Shops . . . There's a choice of eateries on site. Accommodation is also available at the Holiday Club Vesileppis.

Prices . . . A two-hour ski pass costs €11 adults; €8 children.
