What . . . SnOasis, due to open in 2012, will be a large-scale winter sports complex with all the facilities you'd find in a real alpine resort.

Its major draw will be the real-snow slope measuring 415 metres long and 70 metres wide with a 100-metre vertical.

The SnOasis slope will not only provide family fun with its 100-metre-long nursery slope, but also feature training, competition, and championship facilities for elite athletes in downhill, combined, slalom, freestyle, moguls, aerials, big air, and half-pipe. Separate from the main slope, they'll also be a cross-country skiing circuit.

Non-Skiing Activities . . . 14 different winter sports are available, including a 400-metre ice skating track, snow tubing, a rollerblading track, a 100-metre-long bobsleigh run, 16-metre-high ice climbing wall, swimming pool, gym, skate park, bowling alley, rock climbing wall, five-side football, and a wide variety of water sports on the lake. There's also a luxury health spa for ultimate relaxation.

Food/Shops . . . The SnOasis village is lined with shops and 17 bars and restaurants. There's also a wide choice of onsite accommodation: a four-star hotel, 350 log cabins, and 100 apartments.
