What . . . Newmilns Snow and Sports Complex has a 90-metre-long slope with a powder pac surface.
The complex offers public skiing and snowboarding sessions for all ages and levels as well as block lessons, private lessons, crash courses, and birthday parties. Youngsters can enjoy sledging on the mini slope.
The complex is open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays to Thursdays; 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fridays; and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekends.
Other amenities . . . Mountain boarding and mountain biking: a boarder cross track is available to mountain boarders and there's a freeride mountain bike track with a range of table tops and drop offs.
Price . . . An hour's recreational skiing or snowboarding costs £8.50 adults; £6.50 juniors. All prices include the hire of equipment.
