Where . . . Suffolk Ski Centre, Ipswich
What . . . Two floodlit dry ski slopes: the main slope is 180 metres, incorporates a red and blue run and is served by two draglifts; the junior slope is 40 metres and used for beginners' lessons.
There are a variety of lessons on offer: school courses, Saturday workshops, race training, private lessons, kindergarten workshop, a ramp night (for freestylers), and many more.
Plastic toboggans are also available and are used on a safe carpeted slope away from the ski slopes, close to the ski lodge. It costs £5.50 children; £6.50 adults.
Ringos (snowtubing) takes place on half of the main slope and costs £6 children; £8 adults. There is a minimum age restriction of 8 years. Booking is necessary.

Price . . . 1.5 hour's general practice costs £7-10 adults; £5.50-£7.50 children. Ski and boot hire is included in the price (there is a £5 charge for snowboard equipment).
