It's A Ski And Snowboard Season

The Midwest ski and snowboard season got off to an early start as Wild Mountain, located just east of the Twin Cities, and Ski Brule, located in the UP along the Michigan/Wisconsin border, opened for the season Nov. 9. Tyrol Basin also opened for skiing and riding Saturday, Nov. 10 just for the day, and you had to walk up the hill to ski or ride back down. It was $10 for as many times as you could hike up. More areas will be opening as fast as they can, with the forecast calling for more snow across the upper Midwest soon. Check out the daily snow report for all Heartland ski areas at OnTheSnow.com.
