Lookout Pass Ski and Recreation Area is shifting to its March schedule. But things are far from over at the ski area plopped right on the border of Idaho and Montana.

The resort is shifting into its March schedule this week. Operations bump up in January and February, running lifts six days per week. The resort drops back to five days per week, opening Thursdays through Mondays, in March.

Despite downshifting, a full calendar packs out March. The activities launch at the beginning of the month with the Moose Drool Scavenger Hunt and Crazy Costume Day March 5. The fun culminates March 27 with the Lookout Beach Party Luau and Big Kahuna Donwhill.

Lookout Pass traditionally ends its season with its annual Slush Cup, a pond-skimming event April 2. The resort's projected last day is April 3; however, it may opt to open for another Saturday or two, if conditions permit.

Skiers and riders heading to Lookout Pass for spring skiing can save $1 on lift tickets by purchasing e-tickets by 4 p.m. the previous day. Half day, full day, and all ages of lift tickets are available as e-tickets. E-tickets are nonrefundable.

Lookout Pass is still selling its Advantage Card, too. The $59 card grants the first ticket free. Tickets 2-4 come at $10 off, and then the fifth ticket is free.
