Resorts in this article: Le Massif Ski Area, Red Mountain Resort
Powder hounds, corduroy lovers, and low density trail seekers have until Nov. 30 to buy a season pass for Le Massif at the early bird rate. That gives skiers and riders access to Le Massif, with its 58 acres of new terrain. Purchasers of a 5/7 or 7/7 pass to Le Massif also get to ski and ride Red Mountain's vast domain in British Columbia.
The West has wonderful snow, but then so does Le Massif, which recorded 914 centimetres of snow last season. (South of the border, that's 360 inches or 30 feet.)
The unlimited individual pass costs $639 for adults (18-64), $579 for seniors (65 and up), $489 for students (13-17), and $449 for juniors (7-12). After Nov. 30 the passes increase to $899 for adults, $649 for seniors, $549 for students, and $499 for juniors.
A weekday pass also is also available. Cost for an adult pass is $459 until Nov. 30, then $659; senior $349, then $489; student $309, then $419; and junior $259, then $349.
Other passes and tickets are also available.
This year skiers/riders revel in superlative coverage on far more terrain - four new glades, 26 additional acres of off piste skiing, a fresh new take on the terrain park, and a glade for youngsters - not to mention perks passholders enjoy at the Boutique, Mer & Monts Restaurant, the Pub, Rentals & Repairs Shop or when buying day lift tickets at several other Québec ski areas.
