Targhee Adds Powder 8 Lift Ticket Pack

Grand Targhee offers a new discounted lift ticket pack. Grand Targhee offers a new discounted lift ticket pack.

Grand Targhee, Wyo., just added a new discounted lift ticket pack to their ticket options for this winter. The Powder 8 Pack tickets are non-transferable, but they are valid any day during this winter's season. No blackout dates for holidays. They must be purchased in person before Dec. 15 and used by the end of the 2008-09 season.

Adult Powder 8 Packs cost $399. They are for skiers and snowboarders who are between 13 and 64 years old. A single adult lift ticket costs $69, so the Powder 8 Pack tickets save around $20 off each lift ticket.

College students with ID pay $299 for Powder 8 Pack passes, which makes their lift tickets cost only $37 per day. Senior citizens and juniors ages 6 to 12 years old pay $199 for Powder 8 Packs, which reduces their daily tickets to less than $25 per day.

Powder 6 Packs also are available. You can reload your expired card with either six or eight more tickets, but unused tickets are not refunded.

"We wanted to be sure we kept the local market in mind," said Targhee's John Urdi. "This product allows people from Jackson to Idaho Falls and beyond a chance to enjoy all that winter has to offer without breaking the bank."

Buy the Powder 8 Packs at the resort's activity center on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays through Nov. 22, the resort's projected opening day, and after opening, seven days a week. Targhee will also be selling the Powder 8 Packs at several off-site locations throughout the region. Complete information is available on the Powder 8 Pack Web site.
