You've probably watched riders and twin-tippers perform their tricks on the slopes and in the terrain parks, but have you longed to "learn the tricks of the trade?" If you've watched in envy wishing you could do just a few of the simple tricks, well, get ready. If you live in the lower Midwest you can attend Paoli Peak's Freestyle Clinic, Feb. 28 - March 1.
The clinic, which costs $129 for the weekend, includes a two-day lift ticket, two days worth of instruction, a light breakfast each morning, and a private room in the day lodge for bag storage. The cost is less if you are a Paoli season pass holder. Space is limited and you need to call Tonya or Kim at 812-723-4696 by Feb. 24 to register for the class.
The Peaks has special lodging packages set up with the nearby magnificent French Lick Resort and Casino from $79 for a flat room rate midweek and $99 weekends. This is truly one of America's grand old hotels. Through detailed renovation, restoration and an extreme passion to refurbish the past, French Lick Resort Casino, established in 1845, has re-opened its doors and returned to its original charm and grandeur. For over two centuries the Pluto Mineral Springs and its medicinal waters have drawn visitors to French Lick and the legendary resort. Ask about the lodging package when you sign up for the clinic. It makes a fantastic weekend package.
