"We have made substantial investment in the latest snowmaking technologies that enable us to make much greater quantities of snow at higher temperatures," said Rich Wilkinson, Sugarloaf's vice president of operations. "As a result, we're open early and expect to be able to open terrain faster than we ever have."
Sugarloaf's Widowmaker Lounge will host a season kick off party Friday, Nov. 16.
Sugarloaf's early season tradition, Tin Mountain Round Up, will be held Nov. 17-18 when skiers and riders can purchase lift tickets for $24 when they donate three cans of food. The annual food drive helps restock the shelves at local food pantries just in time for the busy holiday season.
