Indoor snow centres are year-round, weather-reliable destinations. They are growing in popularity and complexity, with the larger centres now resembling full mountain resorts rather than just straight slopes.

The UK's indoor snow centres are great places to learn to ski or to brush up on your ski skills before your winter holiday. Many offer great value-for-money courses allowing skiers and snowboarders to maximise their ski time when in the mountains. The freestyle scene at indoor slopes is also thriving.

The innovative youth charity, Snow Camp, tours the indoor centres supporting inner-city youngy people, introducing them to skiing and snowboarding at indoor and artificial ski slopes.

OnTheSnow has compiled a list of real-snow indoor ski centres and outdoor artificial slopes in the UK.
