The French Alps has seen some major snow dumps over the last couple of weeks. There's no sign of the early snow stopping anytime soon, with up to 44cm forecast for this weekend. We're bringing you all the latest snow pictures to drool over ahead of ski resort openings at the beginning of December.

VAL D'ISERE SNOW REPORT: Val d'Isere is scheduled to open Dec. 1st and if it keeps snowing the way it has, we wouldn't be surprised if the ski resort brings the opening date forward. A further 19cm of snow is forecast for Saturday.

VAL THORENS SNOW REPORT: Val Thorens is among the first French ski resorts to open each winter; this year it kicks off the season Nov. 24th, just over two weeks away! The resort benefitted from a big snow dump last week. Current snow depths - 60cm/30cm and a further 21cm is forecast for Saturday.

LES 2 ALPES SNOW REPORT: The resort saw a smattering of snow at the end of October and plenty fell on the glacier, which is open for skiing and boarding. The resort currently has 20cm of snow on the upper slopes and a further 45cm is forecast this Saturday.

AVORIAZ SNOW REPORT: Avoriaz received some great early snow the last two weeks of October and and a further 13cm is forecast at the top of the mountain this Saturday.

MERIBEL SNOW REPORT: Meribel benefitted from 30cm of snow last week and is expecting another 16cm on Saturday.

MONTGENEVRE SNOW REPORT: Montgenevre saw plenty of fresh snow at the beginning of last week and a further 9cm is forecast for Saturday.

There are also plenty of French resorts which are yet to receive big snow dumps, but are forecast snow at the top of the mountain this Saturday: Alpe d'Huez is forecast 44cm; Chamonix 40cm; Courchevel 14cm; La Plagne 24cm; Serre Chevalier 14cm; Morzine 13cm; and Megeve 4cm.
