A Three Valleys resort, Les Menuires boasts a vast ski area (600km) with varied terrain, a quality lift system and huge swathes of untouched off-piste. But above all, it comes with a promise of great snow which has permitted the ski resort to launch the “Snow Guaranteed” label.

The ski area features fun areas, such as the Acticross and the Walibi Gliss, favourite family playgrounds, and the BK Park for budding freestylers. But its best-kept secret is the virgin off-piste where guides and ski instructors take their adventurous ski fans, from the Lac du Lou to the Vallée des Encombres.

Les Menuires (1850m) is a high-altitude resort situated on the west-facing slope of the valley and is bathed in sunshine all day. Its lofty position also makes it convenient for doorstep skiing. The urban character that marked its beginning has given way to a new architecture of chalets and upmarket residences, with their stone and wood façades. The accommodation has become more spacious and more welcoming; visitors benefit from a whole range of services and equipment, such as private swimming pools and spas, often included in the accommodation package offered by the Les Menuires hotels and tourist residences.

Off the slopes, Les Menuires has plenty to offer all ages, including a Sports Centre with Aquaclub, three Spas, a 4km-long toboggan run, snow scooter circuits for adults and children, and weekly entertainment and shows. The resort is a big hit with families and has been awarded the coveted “Family Plus” label. Family highlights include two children's clubs, one of which accepts children from the age of 18 months, a toboggan castle sculpted in the snow for the very young, and a children's music festival “Boules de Notes” with its “taste bud” entertainment.

This major alpine resort combines modern infrastructure with extensive skiing and guaranteed snow, making it a safe bet for all ages and levels.
