Summer is over and the countdown to winter has begun. Like every year, Tignes will be the first French ski resort to open its lifts and slopes at the beginning of October. And just a couple of weeks later, Les 2 Alpes is giving ski fans the chance to warm up their legs and test the latest equipment on the glacier.

Tignes ski season starts, Oct. 5, 2014

From October 5, 2014, Tignes opens for skiing on the Grande Motte glacier ... non stop until May 3, 2015!

The slopes of the Grande Motte glacier, located between 3032m and 3456m, offer 20km of ski trails. And as the snow falls, new slopes and lifts will gradually open.

► Practical information about opening the ski resort of Tignes

And all this is before the official opening of the season on Nov. 29, 2014!
