East Coast Photographer Justin Cash didn't know what to expect when he made the trek to Brattleboro, Vt. last year. The weather was unseasonably warm, the venue was foreign and the sport of ski jumping was something he doesn't shoot on a routine basis.
The previous evening Cash had decided to attend the Fred Harris Memorial Tournament at the newly-renovated Harris Hill Ski Jump. The jump is the only 90 meter ski jump in New England and draws competitors from around the United States once a year.
Over the two days, Cash caught the action and drama against a bluebird sky. Agony, nerves and the solitude of ski jumping all played a central role in his photography.
