Everyone is talking skiing and snowboarding, and the best place to do it is at the Colorado Ski & Snowboard Expo. It's the 18th annual show, coming to Denver Nov. 13-15. It's a super-sized event at the Colorado Convention Center in downtown Denver, with 20,000 square feet of equipment, clothing, and accessories for men, women, and children, both skiers and boarders. Much of it is at discounted prices.
All of the Colorado resorts will be there answering your questions about lift tickets, season passes, lodging, restaurants, best bump runs, best après ski, and more. They're ready to talk about your time on the snow this winter. Some offer early-bird lodging packages and incentives. Others offer a last chance to get season passes at discounted prices.
Another big attraction is the "Eliteam" Training Center, which is a hands-on, interactive, physical fitness fun area for kids. They can play, train, and challenge themselves. It's led by Olympian Doug Lewis.
The MBS Mountainboards Big Air Show thrills everyone, as the MBS Demo Team puts on a high energy performance of flipping, spinning, and rail sliding using ramps, rails, and other obstacles. The Flying Ace All Star trampoline athletes will be trying to touch the ceiling. Olympians and past Olympians are everywhere, signing autographs.
More than 30,000 people are expected. The cost is $12 for adults or $10 with a discount coupon available in the Denver Post or at any Colorado Ski & Golf store. Kids 12 and under are free. The expo is from noon to 10 p.m. Friday, Nov. 13. Saturday's hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Sunday's hours are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
