Whitefish Mountain Resort in Montana offers two slopeside lodging deals for skiers and snowboarders this winter. One permits flexibility of prices in different scales of lodging; the other provides an answer for the real tight pocketbook.

The resort's January White Sale allows you to go budget or upscale in your choice of lodging. You buy two nights of lodging to get the third for free. The deal is valid Jan. 4 - 31, with the exception of the Martin Luther King holiday weekend. The sale applies to most hotel, studio, and multi-bedroom condo units at the resort. However, the sale does not apply to townhouse properties. Rooms must be booked by Dec. 12 to get the third night for free.

The most inexpensive lodging at Whitefish Mountain Resort is the Hibernation House, which is offering a ski and stay package for $70 per person. The price is based on double occupancy, but it does include lift tickets for both people, too. A minimum two-night stay is required. The budget ski in-walk out hotel includes a hot tub, breakfast, and rooms with one queen bed, a set of bunks, cable TV, and phones.

The $70 Hibernation House Ski and Stay deal is valid for Sunday through Thursday night lodging and Monday through Friday skiing or snowboarding. The $70 per person rate begins Jan. 4 and lasts through the entire season, with the exclusion of Presidents' Day Weekend, Feb. 15-19.

Make reservations for either package through Whitefish Mountain Resort Lodging. Call (877) SKI-FISH.
