Save Up To 50 Percent With Ski Sundown Card

Ski Sundown offers a Savings Card that yields discounts of up to 50 percent off some lift ticket prices.

Adults pay $17 for a night ticket instead of $33 with the card; $25 for a weekday ticket instead of $50; $27 for a Friday or Saturday night ticket instead of $33; $40 for a weekend day ticket instead of $50.

Juniors pay $15 for a night ticket instead of $30; $22 for a weekday ticket instead of $44; $24 for a Friday or Saturday night ticket instead of $30; and $35 for a weekend day ticket instead of $44.

The Ski Sundown Savings Card is a photo ID that holders present at the ticket window.

Bob Switzgable, owner and GM of Ski Sundown, said the area opened in 1969 with four trails, three small lifts, one grooming machine, and a staff of two.

"Now in our 40th season, Ski Sundown boasts 15 trails spanning 65 acres, five lifts whisking over 8,000 skiers up the mountain each hour, a high efficiency snowmaking system, a superior grooming fleet, and a staff of 450," Switzgable said.

Ski Sundown in New Hartford, Conn., has a vertical drop of 625 feet, and two terrain parks.
