Great resort and great value for money compared to 1850. La Tania is perfect for experiencing the 3 vallies without paying ridiculous prices. Great restaurants and great local ski instructors.
good lift, good value for money, good runs down into La Tania and easy to connect to nearby villages.
Could be more lively in evenings

We stayed in a nice chalet in the woods with a lift that takes us to our chalet. It was about 3mins ski to the centre of the village. everything was easy to get to and there was also a really nice restaurant call Bouc Blanc at the top of a cable car. There was really good skiing and all of us had a fun time.
Quiet, and easy to access all areas.
Not as big as other resorts.

Lovely village with the majority of chalets/apartments having ski in/ski out access. Good links with the rest of the 3 vallees including Courchevel and Meribel. Traditional, family run apres ski venues with prices cheaper than that of restaurants/bars further up the mountain, providing live music on a frequent basis. Well equiped "corner shop" at reasonable prices. Only drawback is the snow gets very slushy and limited towards the end of the season and you have to have some skill in getting down Folyeres when this does happen in order to avoid the grass and mud and actually find the snow, there is however a shuttle service that will get you home if needed. Get all the skiing of the Courchevel area without the hustle, bustle and price tag that comes with Courchevel!
Good access to Courchevel area and cheaper than higher up the mountain
Quiet, not too much apres ski, slushy at end of season

My family had an apartment in La Tania and we jhad a good week there. We'd stayed in Courchevel and meribel so nthe main difference was that La tania was much smaller, newer and compact and it also was easier to get up on the slopes quiockly as fewer people were going for the lifts. When we went the place was full of Brits and the bars and resurants had a very British feel to them which was OK for us but my Mum didn't like it so much as she prefers to be somewhere that felt less like hime. But I remember the croissaants were good for breakfast and so they were very French as British ones are always lousy.
Initimate resort, friendly, good location
limited size/facilities compared to bigger 3 Valleys resorts
