Overview

Sainte-Foy-Tarentaise, a genuinely traditional resort where skiing is harnessed into a wonderful natural environment. This village, where everyone knows everyone is nestled among the trees, Sainte Foy is a hidden gem known only to a privileged few. The recently built chalets, apartments and holiday residences in the resort of Sainte Foy combine modern comfort while respecting the traditional architecture of the Tarentaise Valley (stone, wood and slate). With 2500 available beds, Sainte Foy is a nice sized resort that retains its spirit and the traditions of the local hospitality. Sainte Foy is the place where you will find passionate skiers and snowboarders living in perfect harmony. Skiers, snowboarders, telemark skiers all enjoying their powdery dream be it only a few metres from the marked pistes or in the forest. Because of the configuration and exposure (north-west) of Sainte Foy the snow quality is exceptional. In the ski resort of Sainte Foy (1520m-2620m) visitors have the choice between skiing between the mid-altitude larch forests or on the 15 marked ski runs, varying in difficulty. For a sportier days skiing, the ski lifts also allow easy access to many off-piste areas and three "freeride" areas. Accompanied by a professional guide, enjoy skiing through virgin snow on the well-known routes such as Le Monal or the north face of Fogliettaz (nearly 2000 m of descent). Mountain professionals are unanimous in saying that St. Foy has remarkable off-piste skiing at the same time as also providing a great range of marked ski runs. In Sainte Foy, children can discover supervised ski lessons, creating lasting memories for years to come. At the same time toddlers can build snowmen with the "Little Trapper" Kid's Club. And because it's not just skiing in the mountains; day or night, participate in different organised activities. Kid's shows, free street entertainment, concerts, skiing by torchlight and not forgetting the unique welcome drink! Surrounded by the Vanoise National Park Mountains, Sainte-Foy is the village where you can enjoy a moment relaxing in the tranquillity of the recreation centre (spa, pool, beauty treatments). The centre uniquely set overlooking the Thuria glacier. You can also go snowshoeing or "laze" on the café and restaurant terraces. This is just a small example of the multitude of ways to relax in St. Foy. On a practical note, during the winter there are free shuttle buses linking Sainte-Foy centre with La Masure and Le Miroir resorts.
