The conditions in the Ostallgäu’s ski areas Alpspitze, Breitenberg, Halblech and Tegelberg are good. The region offers numerous nearly endless slopes and diverse opportunities to do all kinds of winter sports. The spacious ski areas just below the middle station are ideal for beginners and the slopes leading down from the top station attract the more experienced skiers. In the Skizentrum Steinach, located at the foot of the 1838 m high Breitenberg, the pistes are of easy or intermediate difficulty as well as one world cup slope.

The Breitenbergbahn takes you up to the Hochalpe, a ski area ranging from an altitude of 1300 m to 1700 m. The ski area possesses well-groomed slopes, a fun park, deep snow variants and a ski trail down to the valley, with the impressive panorama of the Aggenstein in the background.

Cross-country ski runs pervade the whole Ostallgäu region. Connections to a neighbouring net of runs were established so the Ostallgäu region is one of the top destinations for Nordic sports. Moreover, the region has three snow parks available with tables, jumps, slides, and quarter-pipes.
