The ski region Paznaun is located in the Western part of Tyrol and constitutes the ski areas Galtür, Kappl, and See. Paznaun is confined by the Verwall group in the North, the Samnaun group and the Silvretta in the South, the highest elevation is the Fluchthorn with 3399 metres. A winter vacation in Paznaun is marked by the diversity of the pistes in front of the stunning panorama of the Alps. Galtür offers good conditions for skiing, snowboarding and cross-country skiing. Galtür, the ski area with the highest altitude in Tyrol’s Paznaun valley, is well-known for it’s reliable snow conditions from the beginning of December to the end of April. There are snow parks for snowboarders and free skiers as well as cross-country ski runs and trails in Galtür. The ski area Kappl is located on the sunny side of the Paznaun valley and surrounded by the 3000 metre peaks of the Central Alps. The area is famous for Kappl’s traditional atmosphere and next to skiing you can also do toboggan and snowshoe hiking. The ski area See which reaches up to an altitude of 2450 m is especially suitable for families. The slopes, however, are suitable for all levels of difficulty. There is also a fun park for snowboarders and freeskiers.
