Salt Lake City offers unparalleled access to nine ski resorts within one hour of downtown. This translates into a mountain biking utopia with more than 150 miles of singletrack spread out across some of the region’s best slopes. Canyons Bike park includes two skills parks and four skill-level trails with a variety of features for bikers to choose from. Park City Mountain Resort offers scenic lift rides, zip lines and an alpine slide. Recreating in Utah’s state capital is not without its perks—theme parks, water parks, sightseeing tours, cultural attractions and festivals are prevalent during Salt Lake summers. The Provo River flows west and south from the Uinta Mountains to Jordanelle Reservoir, offering anglers miles of blue ribbon trout water to explore. Other scenic locales include Red Butte Garden and Big Cottonwood Canyon, where visitors can hike, bike, climb and camp throughout the summer months.
