My family and I stayed in Marilleva 1400. A perfect place for riders, right outside the resort is a gondola that brings you to the intro of the mountain and from there you can jump in different elevations and different picks. I won’t suggest for orderly people, but overall a good place.
Beautiful Alpine skiing, for all the levels riders
The resort is old and confusing for new people.

Absolutely beautiful place with so many runs. Refugio’s worth a visit are Casina Zeledria , Boch (upstairs alla carte) Chalet Fiat(Alfa Romeo) Spinale ( alla carte restaurant) These places are gastronomic playgrounds!! With wines to match. Cheaper than mcd’s in switzerland lol. Runs are great with wide open parts above the treeline(blue/reds ) with blacks having some World Cup runs and training areas notably 3 Tre Miramonte Canalone ,Spinale direttissimo , Fis training slope one of steepest in Europe Pancugolo. The Amazzonia is a favorite black considered more like an excellent red. One week is enough to master all of these and use Scuola Nazionale ski school

A fantastic vast ski area completely ruined by the lack of organisation by the lift staff. It will not be long before there is a serious accident on these lifts. It is time that the European resorts take a look how the Americans run the lifts and organise the queues, it is a free for all here. The sign posts are very misleading on the slopes. Apart from that it has the potential to be one of Europe's best resorts.
A vast range of piste and off piste to choose from.
Absolutely no organisation at the lifts. Lazy operating staff creating a dangerous environment. It wont be long before there is a serious accident on these lifts.

I stayed a week in Massimeno just outside Pinzolo. Excellent red runs in all local resorts. Campiglio was better for the beginners but the variety of quiet reds and blacks was superb for the rest of us. Excellent food in town with a real world feel rather than purpose built resorts. The lift infrastructure is all up to date too except a couple of 2 man chairs in Folgarida Marilleva.
Beautiful alpine scenery with treeline skiing. Excellent food. Amazing snow making between snow falls.
Difficult to ski to and from Pinzolo for absolute beginners but easy for intermediates. (You can drive instead and park for free)

Park is small, yet well made. Lots of flat portions to slopes that extend for quite some time, to the point of unclipping and walking. The off piste on the side of the runs is fantastic to play around with. Plenty of cafes to eat and drink located throughout the mountain. Quite crowded on weekends!

I really like Madonna di Campiglio. It has a winning combination of a classy, and classic resort and excellent skiing on mostly tree lined runs which extend for aboput 100 miles with great long pistes that flastter moderate intermediate level skiers like me. The village itself is pedestrianised so you can wander in peace around the great shops and cafes then oput on the slopes you can ski over to neighbouring resorts like Marilleva and Folgarida or even buy a regional ticket that encompassees a still wider area including the glacier skiing at Passo Tonale.
Quality resorts, quality skiing.
Limited advanced terrain
It's a good place for snowboard & ski! One of the best park in Italy and the best nigthlife in all the ALPS.
