Snow Reporter Comments: It’s a Utah tradition – the Tax Day Storm! For reasons not entirely clear, Utah usually gets fresh snow on April 15, and this year is no exception. If you want to ski but still need to do your taxes, you may need to file electronically from the chairlift. 4 to 6 inches are anticipated today, on top of the inch we received overnight. The incoming snow will be on the heavy side. Pack an energy bar or pop into St. Bernard’s for breakfast to power your turns. Most of our terrain gates were closed yesterday and that will likely be the case again today. The Main Street terrain park will also be closed today. Temperatures dropped below freezing last night and will remain cold during the day, capping out around 30 this afternoon. Another inch or two of new snow is expected tonight before the sun returns tomorrow along with temperatures in the upper 30s.
