Mountain is laid out well
not enough staff to run the resort

Full review

Went back to Copper yesterday after many years away at other resorts like Winter Park. I have always liked the way the mountain is set up for advanced skiing on the east. I was very disappointed in the visit. It appears that Copper like so many others do not pay enough to attract human talent. It started with the windows being closed to buy tickets. We had a 30 minute wait in the tubing and rental line and were told that they did not expect a busy day so they chose not to staff. Again a 30 minute wait to buy an overpriced poorly cooked lunch. You could not even get into JJ's without a reservation or 45 minute wait. "Great value when you are paying for that time dearly in your lift ticket." Nice staff but obviously not enough of them. Copper made their decision not to staff. I will now make mine not to return.
