The Departmental Committee of Tourism in Isere, France has made booking your resort accommodation a little easier.

On their Web site, the DCT has centralised the department's reservation service, where you can choose the type of accommodation you are looking for, the destination, dates, and number of guests. Available offers pop up immediately via your destination's own Web site. All that's left is to click and book.

If nothing is available according to your criteriae, the site proposes to widen your geographic sector, but if your heart is set on a certain destination, it's better to just go back and change some of your accommodation options. The site gives you the choice between hotels, bed and breakfasts, apartments, houses, or chalets, Gîtes de France, Clévacances rentals, campsites, even all inclusive packages.

Some resorts offer you the possibility of booking your ski pass online. This turnkey solution ensures worry-free holidays, even before you leave the house.

On the French version of the site, you can even hire your gear online and receive a 20 to 40-percent discount. Thanks to a partnership with SkiSet, you choose your resort, on site sports shop, and the number of days you'll need gear. Your discount appears immediately. Then you can continue to see what equipment is available and at what price. A minimum of French is a good idea if you plan to do this; either that or a good bilingual dictionary, but it's nothing complicated and can save you a little cash.

Isere hosts a wide range of ski resorts, from large areas like [R593R, Les 2 Alpes] and [R592R, l'Alpe d'Huez] and smaller stations such as [R2350R, Autrans], [R594R, St Pierre de Chartreuse] or [R2441R, Lans en Vercors].
