Europe snow conditions: The sun has been shining brightly across much of the Alps this week. Some snow has also fallen, with highs of around half a metre: 40cm in Gerlos, Nassfeld; 35cm in Saalbach Hinterglemm and Arosa; 20cm in Avoriaz, Engelberg, Elm, Laax and Megeve.

Spring snow is making it a little slushy on the lower runs, so head to high ground. Some of the best skiing can be found in Les Arcs, La Plagne, La Rosiere, Davos-Klosters, Engelberg, Murren, Cervinia and La Thuile. And over in Austria all the glaciers are in good shape, and so too are the ski areas of Arlberg, Silvretta and Zillertal with nearly all lifts running.

Europe 3-day snow forecastThere is some snowfall in the forecast but it's only expected in certain areas, including 20cm for Engelberg, Westerndorf, Meiringen, Melchsee-Frutt and Zell am See. See Europe 3-day snow forecast
