Great place and facilities and I'd take my kids here, but for any intermediate and up skier, there just isn't much here for them. I'd go again for a fun time, but not for runs with any challenge.
Great for family skiing
Not much pitch

Super easy to get our Indy pass.
Good family friendly place to ski. Lots of places to go in the trees.
No chairs have any padding :) need more natural snow for the trees. I swear one of my cheese curds was a chicken nugget.

I bought cheese curds for $6 and one of them has a black hair in it right inside the cheese my hair is blonde so no way it could be mine so I brought it up to food spot and she looked at me like I was dumb for returning a food item that obviously violated health code are your workers even wearing hair nets and she refused to even help me first two times I told her I had hair in food she said things like what am I supposed to do and get over it very disrespectful and unprofessional response.
Alright skiing
Hair in food and bad customer service

A day in Hudson isn’t complete without going to Trollhaugen. This is because of the all day skiing or snowboarding, 24 trails, and the Skyefall music festival in the summer. Trollhaugen is entertaining and enjoyable for everyone! Trollhaugen is wonderful because it is open all day from 9:30 AM - 10:00 PM; and on Fridays, it is open until 3:00 AM. Adding on to skiing and snowboarding, Trollhaugen has 24 trails, and 4 terrain parks including, Bunny Hills for when you are just starting to ski or snowboard, more difficult hills for when you are in the middle, and Black Diamond Hills for when you want a challenge. If you want to go tubing on the snow, they have tubing hills to add on to the 24 trails for skiing or snowboarding! In fact, Trollhaugen doesn’t just have events and activities to do in the winter, but Trollhaugen also has events in the summer! For example, The Skyefall Music Festival. At this event you are able to camp, listen to live music by your favorite singers, and watch as DJs compete to be the best by your votes truly. In Conclusion, a day or week in Hudson Wisconsin isn’t complete without visiting Trollhaugen. -Carolyn

We love Trollhaugen and have taught all 4 of our children to ski here as well as race. Their ski school is amazing and their runs are great for the beginner to intermediate skier. This place is a time machine and true midwest gem. The park is the best in the midwest and people are almost always polite. The ski shop is top notch and provides amazing service. We drive over an hour every Saturday to make this our winter home for skiing and fun!
Great Place To learn and Enjoy Pure Midwest Skiing
Lacks length of run for expert skiiers.

I went to Troll when I was young. Came back when I was older, and I've been getting season passes every year since. The place is timeless and fun. Go Troll!
Atmosphere. Staff is friendly. Other customers create a nice community. Terrain Parks are magical.
Only 3 varieties of cheese curds available. Seems like a lot actually.

Family friendly place with great snow, well groomed and varied runs, amazing food at the chalet bar and reasonably priced! Not too crowded except after 9pm on Fridays. Nice spread out chalet unlike some claustrophobic thunder tunnels Ive been to. Great for beginners, fun for intermediate-expert! Instructors are the best my kids have had.
Family Friendly
only way to access the summit run is a tow rope

Spending a day at trollhaugen is a day well spent! They have everything from skiing, snowboarding, tubing, zip lining, and an awesome adventure park! I strongly recommend trollhaugen to anyone!

Troll is my favorite place to snowboard in the Twin Cities. Some in our family ski, some snowboard, and Trollhaugen has a very community vibe where both those groups seem to gel nicely. There is a real, family-owned, family friendly vibe. They've got craft brews on tap which is cool. The food is actually pretty good and won't raid your wallet completely. I don't ride park, but their terrain parks are insane. They also build snow terrain up all across the area, so there are hips and snow spines and banks to play on as you're going down the short Midwest runs, so it stays fresh and fun.
Great vibe. Variety of snow features. Affordable food.
Short vertical runs, but it's the Midwest. Sculpted terrain variety keeps that fresh.
