A ski resort's overall star rating displayed here is not calculated based on a simple average but takes several factors, including the age of a review, into account.
A very good experience in Lanslevillard, which is ideally located for accessing the ski area. The resort is a manageable size, allowing for quick access to the slopes. The mountain restaurants are excellent, with a very friendly welcome. The snow cover is good. The lift passes offer good value for money, with discounts available for early bookings.

An unforgettable stay in Val Cenis: perfect for the whole family!
Our Christmas week in Val Cenis was a resounding success, and I highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a destination that combines diversity and a friendly atmosphere. Staying at the MMV hotel, we appreciated the proximity to the slopes and the quality of the services offered.
The resort offers a wide range of activities to suit all tastes and ages. Whether you're a seasoned skier, a beginner, or enjoy nature walks, there's something for everyone. The Escargot slope was one of our favorites: a gentle and pleasant descent perfect for families, even with beginners or young children.
The ski school's daycare was a real lifesaver for the little ones, allowing us to fully enjoy the activities designed for older children and adults. Special mention goes to the activities offered by the resort: we loved the toboggan run, the creative workshops in the beautifully decorated Christmas bubbles, and of course, the torchlight descent with Santa Claus – a truly magical moment!
We also enhanced our stay by visiting a local cheese factory and a farm, authentic experiences that delighted both young and old. Despite the sometimes unpredictable snow conditions at this time of year, the snow cannons perfectly supplemented the natural snowfall, ensuring well-groomed slopes.
A few minor drawbacks to note: the lift ticket offices were quite crowded at certain times, which could be improved, and the resort was rather lacking in sunshine during the winter. Fortunately, the sun was shining brightly once we reached the summit, offering breathtaking views.
In short, Val Cenis is a welcoming and well-designed resort for a successful family holiday. Thanks to its infrastructure and festive atmosphere, it's a destination I wholeheartedly recommend to all mountain lovers.

I have been skiing in Lanslevillard since 1998. But I do go to other resorts too.
Reading between the lines those people that are unhappy have been staying in other parts of the resort and haven’t ventured to the main skiing village.
Nightlife is limited , but ask a youngster. They know where you can drink and dance till the small hours.
There are lots of restaurants in the village and surrounds and more cafes on the mountain than you may think. You just have to find them
The beginners slopes in Lanslevillard are wide and gentle , but some of the blue runs to resort are tough. Good way to progress.
I will keep coming back.

A beautiful ski area with the longest green run in Europe, the resort has been well modernized with modern lifts. A true village resort where the barns overlook the snow front, an authentic resort! Superb panoramic views at 2800m overlooking one of the most beautiful lakes in the French Alps!

For those who want to escape the mass-market resorts! Here, the scenery is beautiful, the lifestyle is truly relaxed, the Termignon area is magnificent, and the snow is fantastic. Excellent mountain restaurants at reasonable prices. Great activities (dog sledding, snowshoeing, visits to Lanslebourg, etc.). We love it and come back every year! Even expert skiers will find something to enjoy.

A family-friendly resort offering a beautiful ski area for all levels, a very convenient shuttle system for getting around the different villages, and plenty of non-skiing activities for the whole family.
