A very beautiful ski area, but less well-designed and less varied than Paradis Ski and the 3 Valleys; the facilities are a bit outdated compared to its competitors. Very nice slopes at the bottom (Solaise, Bellevarde), flatter at the top, much easier in Tignes, not very skiable in bad weather. The high mountain environment is breathtakingly beautiful, spectacular, incomparable. Apart from a few dreadful eyesores (La Daille), the stone and wood architecture is quite beautiful. Good snow cover in both quantity and quality. Pedestrian traffic is fairly quiet outside the main street; you can walk around. Extensive infrastructure beyond skiing. Prices are outrageous; it's the most expensive resort in France (accommodation, food). The access road is often closed in bad weather, which is not uncommon.
A superb location, late snowfall, ski area
exorbitant prices, resort sometimes cut off from the world by bad weather

A place where absurdity reaches Olympic levels, and skiing is just an excuse for a hedonistic orgy in a snowy paradise. Slopes: as wide as an influencer's ego If you think you've seen well-groomed slopes, Val d'Isère will make you feel like an amateur. The slopes are so wide, perfect, and smooth, they could easily serve as a runway for Russian oligarchs' private jets. Aper ski... Imagine a nightclub at 2,400 meters, where champagne flows freely and the DJ looks like he's just dropped off at a party in Dubai. People dance on tables in their ski boots to live music. Every song ends with a blast worthy of the Eurovision Song Contest final. It's the only place where EVERYONE looks like it's the best day of their life. In Val d'Isère, even the fast food tastes like the work of Michel Bras. The croissants are so buttery you could wax your skis with them, and the tartiflette has more cheese than the average French grocery store. At local restaurants, fondue costs the same as a small apartment in Lyon, but hey – at least they serve it in an atmosphere worthy of the Palace of Versailles. Val d’Isère is a place where absurd luxury meets ski perfection. Is it worth it? Absolutely!
Everything, absolutely everything

A resort where it's great to stay in both winter and summer. The ski area is really impressive, and the facilities are modern. The village is very pleasant and lively! Just one small drawback: the price!

A magnificent resort that has retained its authentic village charm. The snow conditions are excellent year-round, and the end of the season is particularly delightful (fresh snow, sunshine). Free shuttle buses run every 5 minutes, allowing you to get around the entire resort. The mountain restaurants are truly excellent, offering panoramic views of the snow-covered peaks. Those in the village are equally impressive, serving delicious Savoyard dishes! The skiing in Val d'Isère is truly exceptional, with something for everyone thanks to the light and abundant snow. The ski area is vast, including the connection to Tignes. Routes are available for beginners at the top of the slopes, offering breathtaking scenery. Numerous family activities are offered, with entertainment every week. There are also activities for babies. The "Folie Douce" (a fun, lively atmosphere) provides children's activities and family fun; it's not just for partygoers! But rest assured, for holidays with friends who want to party, there are many après-ski venues on the resort that will ensure you have unforgettable evenings.
Excellent snow conditions, an authentic resort with a beautiful village. Great skiing and other activities besides skiing. Free shuttle buses allow you to get around the entire resort. The atmosphere is festive, sporty, and family-friendly.

An exceptional week in Val d’Isère Val d’Isère is a must-visit destination for ski enthusiasts. With over 300 km of varied slopes, there’s something for everyone, from beginners to experts, including legendary runs like the Face de Bellevarde. Modern lifts and impeccably groomed slopes guarantee a smooth and enjoyable experience. The charming and authentic village offers a warm après-ski atmosphere. From sunny terraces like the Bar de l’Ouillette, to lively nightlife at La Folie Douce, and relaxing spas, there’s something for everyone. The alpine scenery is breathtaking, and the service in the accommodations is impeccable. An unforgettable stay combining sport, relaxation, and conviviality. A must-try!
Domaine super grand
It was crowded, but that's normal during the school year.

A very good resort for all levels with excellent snow conditions. Perfect for off-piste enthusiasts too. A very pretty resort with huge buildings, but it still retains a charming and authentic mountain feel. However, it's rather expensive, probably due to its affluent and predominantly English-speaking clientele.
Very large ski area
Rather expensive station

It's my favorite resort. Everything is perfect, the ski area is huge, and there's always snow. There are lots of bars and restaurants up on the mountain (quite expensive) and plenty of places to go out after skiing. Every time I leave the resort, I can't wait to go back!
Huge ski area, guaranteed snow
Not super easy for beginner skiers
