Bad Gastein - Sportgastein sits at the head of the Gastein valley in Salzburg, Austria, surrounded by the high mountains of Hohe Tauern. The ski area runs from around 1,600 m to 2,686 m, giving it a distinctly high-alpine feel and often reliable winter conditions during the main season.
